Any great book has memorable characters whose relationships and interactions make for interesting reading. And this is certainly true of Annabelle Hawthorne's 'Home for Horny Monsters' series.
I'm reviewing Book 5 in the series because, after ignoring the series for a while (Hmmm... Do I really care about horny monsters? C'mon... Monsters? Really??), I decided to go ahead and read Book 1.
Many hours later, I have finished Book 5 and am waiting for new chapters of Book 6 to arrive! This series is THAT good, and the characters are wonderful.
Annabelle's imagination is amazing! ( I almost said "unimaginable". 😎) And for those us with a Premier subscription to StoriesOnLine, or who go on and buy the books via her Patreon account, you're certainly getting your money's work.
I think Book 5 might be my favorite so far. Where else can you find a really interesting story with characters you admire having to deal with the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and using their ingenuity as they grow and develop throughout the plot?
Annabelle also writes very well, and the words flow through your consciousness, with many surprises and much humor. This is one of my top 10 series on SOL, right up there with the work of some of our finest authors.
