I just love the worlds created by the authors in SOL. Whole worlds with a whole new culture, characters, laws, background. I just love them and congratulate those able to imagine such a new world and imbue it with all the rationale and believability that they can give it.
The Hero League, Inc universe is a brand new creation and so far has just a background file and the initial story, "Seraph".
It is hard to imagine where this new world might take us but if it has the success of Thinking Horndog's. "Swarm Cycle" with almost 300 series written for it, then the sky is the limit.
In this world, everything changed dramatically when the fragments of a huge asteroid crashed into the Earth. Many millions die in that instant and many more died in the aftermath. But, that isn't all of it by any means, fragments and dust of the asteroid create genetic changed in countless people. Some instantly die and become puddles on the ground. Some just get changes such as different coloured hair or perhaps a tail, maybe some cats ears.
Some get real superpowers, maybe flight, maybe strength, maybe telekinesis, maybe a combination of these and more.
Mike is a teenager who finds his powers cut in at puberty. He has difficulty accepting these powers but others step in and help him become the Hero that he wants to be.
Then bureaucracy of the controlling body - Hero League, Inc - step in and create problems for him such that he needs to call in the big guns and lawyers.
Then the story changes away from the things he can do and the lives and property he can save into a time when there are meetings and court cases and injunctions and dirty fighting corporate style.
Of course, the Hero wins in the end but that is for you to read and discover.
I welcome this new world and I hope other authors take a look and decide to write stories for it. I am really looking forward to that because I think this will go somewhere and be something.

Evaluation: Plot: 9 this story and this world are very well developed and planned out and most actions have been brought to a successful conclusion.
Technical: Not bad, didn't have anything jump out at me so I think it is all good enough. 9.
Appeal to Reviewer: 9, this is a tale that I enjoyed greatly. I certainly want to see many more entries in this World, there are so many stories to tell.
